FB has not condemned the attacks - nor has anyone from the millitary. if this state of affairs continues and gets worse they should not be surprised if the UN
and the Commonwealth decide to not participate in the Presidential Forum and the whole thing falls apart - and then the whole process is scuttled and then the
country descends into anarchy - the longer this state of affairs continues the more UNSTABLE the situation will become - it was stones, up until last week, now
its molotov cocktails - next it will be guns and then nitro fertilizer homemade bombs.
this thing starts off small - and it gains its own momentum - and as people get emotional and upset they end up not giving a damn - that callous attitude by the regime only feeds into that sense of frustration that will translate into anger and will end up scuttling whatever achievements achieved todate.
its like a free for all in a bar - it takes only one guy to throw the first punch - and it descends into chaos - the job of a bouncer is to anticipate that and get the guy out of the bar before it gets out of control - either the bouncer uses verbal techniques or his uses force - but he doesn't just stand by and let it get out of hand - because it will end up destroying the bar and harming its patrons - same princple applies to a country.
the outcomes sought under the Presidential Forum are only attainable with stability - and only sustainable when negotiated and achieved under that enviroment of stability.
once that stability is broken - and the armed forces have to reenter the streets - all the progress is lost - it means there is NO CONSENSUS position on the Forum and it means that PEOPLE ARE NOT SUPPORTING THE PROCESS - these attacks on Rika show that the process of peaceful debate towards a consensus position via the Political Forum is unattainable - because elements in the country are intent on violence - as evidenced by the overt acts of violence.
they should not understimate this situation - it is the precursor to instability - they need to condemn it and go after the guys who have engaged in it and take them out - if they don't its only going to create that wave of instability which is only going to grow and grow and grow until they will regret having not acted earlier - there will be no point in acting when its full blown because by then the whole thing is phucked.
in Iraq it began with them toppling Saddam Husseins statute - and it ended one year later in anarchy - all because the yanks failed to forecast and act.
