Civil servants have been programmed to follow rules, not command. They need to be replaced by military officers to make sure the "job" gets done.
Why then is a documented mental midget being appointed to a senior post in NY? He was proposed and withdrawn before. What has changed? A new puppet? How effective can he be? Perhaps the only Mara whose hands are not bloody from the coup, and they are going to put him in the UN hotseat to represent a nation which used to be considered a leader of the Pacific? How sad for Fiji and for him.
Will Ratu Epeli and Chaudhry be replaced by more obedient military officers? Will civil servants who do not cooperate be executed?
Anything goes in this delusional military junta which has lost sight of fundamental values. Who needs values when they go to church? Doesnt going to church enable me to forclose on my neighbor (King Ka Vitu Jim)?
The church and the government need to follow military orders. This is as far as I can see as a programmed military mind.
Besides, it is military officers who deserve the salaries, not civil servants.
The military can rule by intimidation and terrorism. This is far more effective than a book called the General Orders for lazy civil servants.
And military officers who do not perform can be sent overseas to juggle puppets.
And why can't someone command the economy to perform? Who needs marketing and international trade relations when you can cut through all this with a command? For example, sack a few more civil servants and claim it as progress.
Cabinet reshuffles soon
Wednesday September 19, 2007
Fiji's interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama says he is looking at reshuffling his Cabinet this year.
Bainimarama said "a couple of reshuffles" are expected.
"We thinking of doing a couple of reshuffles later on but we will have a look at it in the next couple of months," he said.
The latest addition to the interim Cabinet was Fisheries and Forestry Minister Joketani Cokanasiga.
He was the 17th member in the interim regime appointed last month.
Cokanasiga was a Minister for Home Affairs in Qarase's Government.
Meanwhile, the military council, who advise Commodore Bainimarama, is adamant that it will remove those civil servants who are hindering the interim Government's progress.
