Hasn't he opened his eyes or used his wooden head lately? This talk of racism and corruption was to justify the coup, nothing else. Now get busy at the trough, you Pig. People are tired of hearing you week lame brain excuses for taking away their political rights and economic opportunities. More money for the army boys who sign on to this fraud. Less money for everyone else. The writing is on the wall, but perhaps you are not facing the wall. Oh, and the only way you can continue with your rape of Fijian society is: No Poll in 2009. And the secret papers just uncovered, that is just a way of buying time because the fact of the matter is there is no plan for elections ever. The elections supervisor is a decoy, a decoy easy to afford with the $50m of overexpenditure and misplaced aid from well meaning friends of the People of Fiji. Thanks to you and your kind your arrogant snakes, Fiji's relationship with the World are threatened, and this means less trade and aid overall. What do you plan to replace it with, your own toil in my garden?

No poll in 2009, Ratu Epeli confirms
26/11/2008
Fiji's interim indigenous Affairs has become the latest government official to confirm that the country will not go to elections next month.

Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has assured delegates at the opening of the National Advisory Council meeting in Suva today that there will be no general election in March 2009.

Speaking at Tradewinds Convention Centre, Ratu Epeli reiterated that the interim Government was committed to its roadmap but needed everything to fall into place before there could be a general election.

"Our Pacific friends and neighbours like Australia and New Zealand should support our continuing efforts in this direction," he said.

"So should our friends further afield, especially when we are trying to do something substantial about fighting racism."

He said some other countries talked and behaved as if no racism existed in their countries.

"Sheer wishful thinking! It does exist in their countries and their problems are much bigger than ours," Ratu Epeli stressed.

He said the interim Government wanted to make sure that Fiji was always on sound financial footing.

"We should fight zero tolerance in corrupt practices in the government and elsewhere," he added.

"Let us believe in and practice equal rights for all with the recognition of indigenous rights already intact and safeguarded."

According to Ratu Epeli the interim Government would continue to provide much-needed assistance to the Indian and minority communities through the Multi-Ethnic Affairs Department.

The advisory council is discussing several issues including the draft People's Charter, a planned general election, the better utilisation of land, scholarships and community development projects.
