A friend of mine is having a heck of a time finding a good lawyer who deal in real estate transactions. What he needs is someone who is efficient,
knowledgeable about Fiji real estate laws, international banking in regards to selling the property, tax laws and transfering the money internationally. Also
due to the imcompetence of the last lawyer it may end up in court, which everyone is trying to avoid at this point.
Inappropriate to discuss these issues on the Board. If you wish you can send an email contact to my Inbox on this board and i'll see what i can do to
assist.

I can fully understand that, let me know if the message I sent to you got through or not and if you don't hear back from me via the path, let me know how I
can access it because when it comes to leaving my beaten track in the computer world I do not excell at the technology. I do want you to be able to keep your
anonymity if you so desire.
my anonymity isn't really an issue - if you need assistance and genuinely need to make contact you can simply put up a yahoo address or something like
that.
otherwise if you aren't comfortable with that, then you can contact the Fiji Law Society for a directory of lawyers who should be able to assist.
You are probably right, because if I get a recommendation from you that I give to a friend and they don't live up to standard of working effectively and
efficiently and dragging out the time which is pretty much the norm in Fiji, then I will end up gritting my teeth and thinking badly of your recommendation.
I recommended a lawyer for him that worked well in the past, but this time seems to have gone down the usual foot dragging path which was extremely costly with
NO result, in fact a negative result. I feel bad because I recommended him and it is not fair for me to try and pass that responsibility off to you.
I just thought you might know a hot shot real estate attorney who could close a 4-6 week deal somewhere within that time frame. Too bad Jacinta of Munro Leys
migrated off years ago, she was the best I have ever met in Fiji as far as efficiency and bottom lines. What usually takes 6 months to a year here she had
wrapped up with a ribbon and approvals in two weeks time, I think that has got to be a record and believe me I didn't rush her, I kind of had it timed that
it would take 6 months or more, which would have been fine to buy me some time. There were no hiccups, no excuses about being too busy, she stayed within the
agreed fee, you couldn't ask for more from an attorney.
