Frank can implement the charter and new Constitution without all the foreign meddling and a few countries in the South Pacific who agreed to Fiji's
suspension can look for other shipping and airline routes to serve their countries. NZ and OZ will be happy to serve them for a price. Now is the time to
quietly and politely implement some new policies for Fiji.
TONGA PEOPLE'S REP SAYS REFORMS TOO SLOW
Concerned that election won't happen next year
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (RNZI, April 30, 2009) - A pro-democracy MP in Tonga says there are growing concerns that political reforms will not
happen next year as the government has promised.
Clive Edwards says with the delays in getting the Commission on Constitutional and Electoral Reform in place, the Government has almost ensured
there's not enough time for its recommended changes to be put in place so a poll can be held next year.
Mr Edwards says after starting late, in January, it has until November to complete its work, but ideally the Government should have it begin
reporting back to Parliament next month.
"Are they going to still commit themselves to the change next year and ensure that the Commission brings up its timely reports and have
the Parliament consider the legislation, or are they going to leave the legislation until next year," said Edwards. "That's a big issue at the
moment - when is legislation going to come up, if there has been no report before Parliament sits at the end of next month [May]."
People who have gained wealth and especially power by "BIRTHRIGHT" will not give that up easily and will do anything to keep the "money for
nothing" lifestyle. Those who have worked hard and earned it will usually accept it and move on to bigger and better things. There is a trend starting
throuhout the world where tribalism is slowly but surely being cast aside as they are outdated. I have been watching it slowly unfold before my eyes and am
liking what I see. Soon we are all just people judged by our character, proud of our heritage, but not mired in the muck of racial/tribal institutions.
Frank is released from his shackles and can do all the good things he promised. How terrible of them to hold this angel of hope back in his bid to save Fiji.
Now we will see some real progress, charter, electoral system Indianized, land reform, rampant inflation, and new cozy colonial relationship with Mother India.
But he may need to spar at some more windmills just to ensure that everyone knows there is still an enemy and that Frank is the messiah.
We need to put people in their meritorious places and teach that the road to progress is reincarnation, so they don't try to upset the apple cart any too
soon. Perhaps there can be an election in the next life. Put the tribal people in scheduled areas so that real humans can use the land. Their heritage and
institutions need to be destroyed so that we can move in with our own diaspora and show the junglee, looters, and thugs what civilization really is, and how we
can grease the wheels of fake democracy with scamming and electoral "reform" by scamming constituencies and boundaries to ensure that the most
meritorious Indian wins over the junglee who should stay in their villages waiting for the afterlife.

the best thing about arrogance is that the way to lever it is to challenge the ego - and thats whats been done to Canberra - and they've swallowed it hook
line and sinker - now Fiji is free to do whatever it needs to do to implement these changes - the Forum is now irrelevant to what happens here - it has the
option of taxing to the maximum the Forums activities here or simply kicking them out - now noone can say Fiji acted prematurely or irrationally by kicking out
the Forum headquarters and its offices from here.

Aiyaz just doesn't get it - this is not about the rules of the Forum - its about geopolitics. the Aussies and Kiwi's will disregard that rule book as
they have done here with the suspension and all the rest of the "bilateral partners" will follow suit. tsk tsk tsk....
his advise led the RFMf down the garden path for two years around in circles - until the Constitution had to be abrogated in the end - in the meantime the two
plus years between Dec 2006 and April 2009 saw lots of money spent in arguing court cases and lots of resources allocated to defend challenges against the
constitutionality of FICAC and all the rest of it - completely inefficient - resources Fiji cannot afford to misuse on cases which wouldn't have happened
if Aiyaz simply got down to the bare facts and acknowledged from the beggining that what happened was illegal and the 1997 Constitution had to be abrogated to
create a new legal order.
and now he is back at it again with the Forum - the back and forth here and there semantics which eventually end up nowhere whilst lots of money is
unnecassarily spent in getting consultants and negotiators in place to attempt to bulid bridges which nobody in Canberra is the least bit interested in
building - the bottom line for Canberra is that the want FB and Aiyaz and the interim regime and the RFMf to phuck off from government buildings. fullstop.
so why is Aiyaz wasting time trying to preach ? whats the point ? what is he hoping to achieve ? Canberra doesn't want to see his face - it doesn't
even recognise him.
you cannot negotaite with someone who doesn't even recognise you.
you have to first make them recognise you - and the only way to do that is to hit them where it hurts - and that means doing something devastating like kicking
out the Forum.
you have to use devstating tactics to get these people to the table - they have to lose something before they realise that the cost of undermining you is not
sensible - and that they have to recognise and accept you and talk with you.
Aiyaz can't even fly to Sydney - they'll kick his ass out of there like a common criminal ! a nobody.
what "strong links" is he on about ? there's none you've been kicked out of the community !
this guy needs to realise that its a geopolitical game now - there are no rules here. instead of writing this third rate thesis pretending its an official
government release he should be preparing the way for kicking the Forum out - because its about leverage - and getting leverage and using that leverage.
Aiyaz is simply leading the regime into ambush after ambush with his confused manouvers.
there is no direction and decisiveness to what he is doing - its aimless.

Fiji-Pacific links "still strong"
May 02, 2009 07:22:55 PM
Fiji's bilateral relations with its Pacific neighbours remain intact, says Fiji's Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, following today's
announcement by the Pacific Islands Forum that it had suspended Fiji from membership.
And he has reiterated the government's position that Australia and New Zealand have a more "open mind" towards Fiji's situation, a day
after Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama told The Australian newspaper he wanted to meet face-to-face with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and
his New Zealand counterpart John Key, to explain to them why elections needed to be held in 2014 instead of this year, which the Forum had demanded.
"The government and people of Fiji have very strong ties with our brothers and sisters in the Pacific. No such suspension can sever those ties. Fiji is
part of the Pacific and the Pacific is part of Fiji," Sayed-Khaiyum said at a press conference today.
He says bilateral relations will remain as they are and called on the Forum to review the position it has taken.
"I think you will find that many Forum member states actually have very good bilateral relations with Fiji. So maybe at the Forum level this decision
has been made but most definitely we have very good bilateral relations with many Pacific island countries and it will continue to be so," Sayed-Khaiyum
said.
"We continue to have other diplomatic relationships outside of the Pacific. For example in the past couple of weeks, we had the Sri Lankan ambassador
present his credentials to the President. Other diplomats will be presenting credentials in the coming weeks, so those bilateral relationships carry on. And
it is hoped that the Pacific Islands Forum will actually see what is happening in Fiji. It needs to obviously review its position on Fiji vis a vis the
developments in Fiji and also in terms of our commitments, in terms of having a true democracy in Fiji," he added.
Saiyed-Khaiyum said the Forum's position did not reflect the Pacific Way of dialogue and understanding and instead seemed to reflect the dictum of
non-Pacific players.
"In order to understand what is happening in Fiji, you can't simply sit in Wellington and Canberra or any other capital and make these decisions.
You need to actually come and see and have an open mind in terms of what we want in Fiji."
he is going to accuse every Tom and Hairy Dick of everything to justify his power grab.
You take that one step further wanting to kick your opponent in the nuts to show how important you are.
The problem is Voreqe ans Aiyarse and company area all kicking from inside a sugar sack. All they do is kick each other and provide amusement for the
audience.
By all means kick out the Forum since they have kicked you out. After all, that is what a child would do. So you lose one more economic activity helping to
prop up your phucked economy. Kick out USP too, while you are at it. That way you can break the Indian mafia at USP too, and base hiring and the education of
your children on something besides caste. Who need all that money flowing in from the South Pacific region anyway? Fijians can learn the old fashioned way,
from their grandparents and through beatings. Employment is in the garden with a digging stick. Yes, the subsistence economy is a self-reliant economy, so long
as you don't need what you used to see on your TV. Take away the TV's too. The introduce corrupt anti-military liberalism.
noone here is blind to the leverage the Aussies have used via the Forum - its geopolitics. its about leverage - the Aussies used their money position to
leverage that outcome against Fiji and the members folded - they had to, theiy depend on the Aussies for aid.
the Forum is now a geopolitical football - the Aussies have turned it into a political football - and the members of the Forum have allowed the organisation to
be used as a political football
it is entitled to be kicked around as a political football - and if the Aussies can do it to advance their geopolitical interests in this region, so can we to
protect ours.
as much as Aiyaz likes to think he still has "relationships" with the forum members, the cold hard reality is that they have kicked him out. he has
been sold down the river. fullstop. as much as Aiyaz likes to think that the Forum rules does not have anything about kicking member states out (and he is
correct on that - legally), he needs to understand that those rules no longer exist now - whats happening here is geopolitics.
leverage is being used on the Forum to leverage Fiji.
the leverage Fiji has is to kick out the Forum and its offices and all its people out of Fiji - that is a justified decision - if it devastates the Forum and
brings it down to a collapse that is not our problem - we didn't start this game of political football.
Fiji needs to follow through with EVERY single point of leverage we have - which is substantial - i.e the Pacific Forum line, the Australian Federal Police set
up here in Suva - all theregional NGO's based here, the whole works - and we need to use them.
thats what it boils down to - leverage, and using that leverage.
FB has to kick out the Forum - they have made this decision calculating that Fiji will not go that far in its reaction - we must show them that we can go that
far and further -that we can be ruthless - we play for keeps when we are pushed in this way - and thats the bottom line.
when it gets this ruthless and nasty there are no friends - only players - because like Aiyaz is now learning, whomever you thought was your best friend can
also turn out to be your worst enemy- and he still hasn't gotten over it yet - they've phucked him over and he is still talking about "strong
relationships". lol. tsk tsk tsk tsk.
he needs to muscle up.
we must do it - there is no turning back. it must be done. decisively.

Jack my take on Aiyaz'a article is purely spin to make the forum look like bullies and that Fiji is just trying it's best to get a real democracy. It
is just PR damage control for the rest of the internationals with a hint of the suggestion that if other countries are willing to step forward that Fiji will
be receptive to it. Bottom line it was an attempt to "look or be bigger" than the bully's and not stoop to their level with a large heaping of
diplomacy by stating one's case on the back end of it all. It is really not a bad PR play IMHO. I assume he is hoping that the AP and other international
press agencies will pick it up to run.
I saw on the Japanese news today a little blurb about Fiji being kicked out from the forum and they had to use some old footage of military exercises to get
their spin. But at the end of the blurb they had a shot of Suva with every body going about their business, smiling and having a little tala noa. There are a
lot of mixed messeges out there and I think Aiyaz was just taking the opportunity to state his case while look magnanimous.
Now that NZ/OZ have played their 'hand', Fiji can now respond with justification, and the world will see this as response to provocation by Oz/NZ! Fiji
should force Oz/NZ to face the consquences of its impulsive agenda in Pacific Islands! Now is the time for 'clean up' of Oz/NZ agenda in Pacific
Islands, which has been racist (White Australia) and demeaning ('aid' dependency not 'trade' self-respect). As you say, Forum can leave, as
well as NGO's. Let them move to non-democracy, racist and homophobic Samoa! Neroni Slade can start paying tax in his Samoa, as opposed to tax free salary
in Fiji! US will be looking at the mess created by Oz/NZ policies, which will not look good for their reputations globally!
Tongan and Samoan people have never had democracy, and their Chiefs will never truly allow it!! Frank is getting rid of these corrupt Chiefs in Fiji, who
started the whole coup cycle when Ratu Mara 'used' Rambo to remove Bavadra (a 'commoner' Fijian) in the name of so-called 'indigenous
rights'! India has a democracy, which you want for Fiji! Personally, I would not want the Indian model of democracy for Fiji, with its caste system of
impoverishment for the majority! Fiji needs to develop a meritocratic culture, which empowers 'commoner' Fijians, rather than empowering corrupt,
unaccountable Chiefs, if it is to be truly democratic!
Voreqe is not about politics. He is about crime.
You the rediculous situation of a guy who has robbed a bank expecting to be appointed bank manager.
How about a fox to guard the henhouse?
Good riddance they got rid of the pathetic school drop-out basturd.
Glad that they made the point that they are no kicking Fiji out, they are kicking Voreqe and his hopeless regime out. They do not represent Fiji so why should
they re recognized in any forum, Pacific or otherwise.
Voreqe has no leverage except what he gets from raising guns against his own People.
The rest is song and dance by a caveman.
That is spin.
It was a unanimous decision after Voreqe was given multiple opportunities to move in a direction acceptable to the civilized World. It came to the point where
the question has to be asked - are you going to continue to make excuses for a military dictator who has shown no respect or honesty to anyone, or are you
going to try to help the People of Fiji. The answer is pretty obvious and it was unanimous from all the members of the forum, so your claim that there was
bullying is complete bullshyt. Voreqe clearly brought this result onto Fiji by himself, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
We are not little boys playing cowboys or soldiers here, there are People out there suffering form double digit inflation, lack of a free media, intimidation
from expressing their views, and beatings and murder for those who dare to stand up for the Fijian People in Fiji.
I wonder what it would be like in Australia or New Zealand if anyone who stood up for one of their indigenous citizens was promptly arrested, beaten, and
possibly murdered.
I think Rudd put it quite succinctly for me, Voreqe has done nothing whatsoever in his 2.5 years of rule to indicate that he has the slightest interest in
human rights or political rights.
but you obviously do not know anything about the Fijian administration and the way in which each individual who wishes to have a say can have a say in the
Fijian system. Since you understand nothing of it, it is none of your business. Go back to studying Indian politics. It is not the same. You would feel more
comfortable in your own nest. By interfering with someone else's family you are taking a very big risk.
this is what itaukei call Kaisi behaviour - thats what the Forum has done to us. the sovreign state of Fiji has as its Presidet a High Chief - the Turaga Tui
Vuda - and as its Vice President the Turaga Lailai Mai Nasogolaca, a great great grandson of Rt Seru Cakobau and a grandson of the Tui Tonga - these are high
blood lineages in the Pacific.
this is the context Aiyz must understand - if those so called friends had any feeling towards those "strong ties of friendship" which he still
misguidedly believes in, then this suspension would not have happened - because suspension fron a gathering/meeting in Pacific island culture - i.e to be
refused entry to that gathering or to be evicted or chased from it is an INSULT of the GRAVEST order - it is an insult - it is what they call here a Kaisi
insult.
that is why i no longer see the Forum as the politically independant organisation of Pacific Island heads of State that it claims to be BUT a political
football - those guys have LOST THEIR MANA - they have sold out to the Aussie and Kiwi dollars - all that bullshyte parading around in their sulu's and
acting chiefly is rubbish - their arse belongs to the Aussies and Kiwi's - its been bought by Canberra - that is why we must take the next step and kick
them out of here - Aiyaz needs to understand that.
this is a question of FACE - of RESPECT. Aiyaz is behaving like a Kaisi with that speech - and he is making the government of Fiji look like a Kaisi government
- he gets no respect for that speech only ridicule - they'll only show him as weak and Fiji as an easy walkover - he is setting us up for bigger things -
the Aussies do this to us and realise they can get away with it for no cost - they will not stop - and so wil the Pacific island "friends" which
Aiyaz likes to wax lyrical about.
this is about power and the projection of power at many levels.
this is no longer a question of friendship - this is a question of plays - political plays - geopolitics.
we must kick the Fourm out - this thing leaves us with no option but to do it - if we don't we will live to regret it down the line - this sets a
precedentg that we are weak - we must not allow the Aussies to play this on us - we must not show that we are weak - massaging balls is what Aiyaz has been an
expert at so far - but he has to realise that in some situations its neccesarry to break some eggs too and this is one of them.
this single event is a watershed in pacific geopolitics - the days of the "Pacific Way" are well and truly over - its now everyone for himself.
thats what happened with that Forum decision - all those Pacific heads of State, when it came to the crunch, fell for the Aussie dollar - and if they say it
wasn't so and that it was about principle then it only exposes their hypocracy because (a) there is no procedure or rule for suspension contained in the
founding document of the South Pacific Forum - which was deliberately so because the late Tui Nayau who set that thing up didn't want to interfere in the
Tongan Governance set or the Samoan Governance set up (in both those countries there is NO DEMOCRACY - the rule in Tonga is by the King and nobles and the one
in Samoa is by the MATAI who are nobles); (b) the Pacific way would not have resulted in a suspension - that is an insult.
all this means is that Fiji should look after Fiji's interests as No 1
the South pacific Forum is a political football - we can use leverage on it just as the Aussies have done - its fair game - there is no MANA about that. forget
that shyte.....and Aiyaz needs to pull his finger out and forget all these warm lovely feeling emotions about "strong ties with them" because
there's none.
we need to look after us as NO 1 - and that means every decision we take should be done for our OWN BEST INTERESTS - the region doesn't factor into that
equation - and thats why Aiyaz needs to stop massaging balls (which is why he rose to the AG's post in the first place - he is a good ball massager -
tabetabe artist - and muscle up and be decisive about this thing - and start with a phuck the Forum stance).
Fiji will not collapse from this thing OR from kicking out the Forum - it is in our geopolitical interests that we kick them out. they have become a hinderance
and obstacle and their efforts at sabotaging Fiji have gone to the extreme - we simply cannot allow these state of affairs to go on unchecked.
it must be decisively stopped - and the only way to do that is kick them out and withdraw Fiji membership from that regional Forum block.
we will make it on our own - our geographic location and resources are more than enough to stand us in good stead - and our connections that are now being
strengthened with China, India and further afield into Asia will allow for the flow of capital and technology to maximise the utilisation of our resources -
we need to focus on developing what is ours and moving ahead - forget the region or the Forum they bring us nothing.

The only thing those so called chiefs josefa and epeli have going for them is lineage.
The are a disgrace to their forefathers and to the Fijain People. They have abused their People and shown that they are in fact are senile or kaisi, despite
their lineage. In the old days there was a way of dealing with such chiefs. They would have had their brains splattered on the wall and that would be the
closest equivalent to being voted out of office.
It is strange to hear you talk about traditional respect. Someone who has been harping about merit, perhaps just mouthing the words of your guru john samy
without knowing that to john, "merit" is merely and extension of the caste system, it starts out with being Indian, and goes down from there.
These are chiefs who severely betrayed their People. Throw in those two Epeli wives with the Epeli's as disgraceful chiefs because we all know that they
wear the pants in the family and have brought this on their dimwit bankrupt husbands.
There is no reason to respect these wayward criminals. Raised on the silver spoon, they have thrown away their dignity and respect. Recently appointed illegal
VP epeli has neither been installed as a chief by his people nor installed as the VP by the rightful constitutional body. In fact, he was outright rejected by
the rightful constitutional body, and subsequently forced in at the muzzle of a gun by the traitor and murderer Voreqe. They are unworthy. The nations of the
Pacific are right to reject them, chiefs who have raised arms against their own People for greed, jealousy, and power. What are you going to say, Jack, when
the Fijian People put these characters where they belong, with the rest of the social misfits and rascals at Naboro. Let them take it the arse for the
remainder of their days for how these Judas disgraceful fallen chiefs have betrayed their People for so many pieces of silver.
Back to the old Jack again, I see that you are trying to blame Aiyarse. He certainly shares the blame, but Voreqe is the front man and those fallen chiefs his
bag carriers, so they are all in this and guilty of the highest of state crimes.

I find it funny that you associate my comments with Indian! Actually, I have a birthright and blood which is far more indigenous than you! But that is
irrelevant in this context, since we are tryiing to solve problems, whatever the connection!
